Molds

The mold is the heart of the injection molding process. Your product is formed in the cavities of the mold. Reliability and speed are keywords here. Together with our own engineering department, you make the choices that will lead to an excellent tool. Together, we will assess expected annual volumes, plastics, project planning, accuracy, and costs.

Matrijs Reobijn

Mold construction

Reobijn has a large network of toolmakers, spread across both Europe and Asia. From this network, we will choose the most appropriate for the respective mould. All our suppliers have years of experience and are pre-screened.
Before the so-called ‘Design Approval’ is signed, important matters such as correct cooling, dimensions, and method of emission are examined.
We recommend a mold flow analysis before the mold is made. This is a digital simulation to implement design and process improvements. The quality of the mold can hereby be significantly increased. Reobijn can provide this mold flow analysis for you.
When the mold is ready, including the necessary automation and production tools, the manufacturing of FOTs (First Out of Tools) follows. Those are the first test products. Once the FOTs have been approved, the mold is subjected to a first extensive injection molding test at Reobijn, also known as the zero series. This zero series is also rigorously assessed internally, and then offered to the customer. If desired, the approval process can be extended with a full Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).

Storage and maintenance

We can offer your molds the best care with our own maintenance department. This is essential for a reliable production process, correct quality, and longevity. We have specialist equipment, including a Style CNC machine and ultrasonic cleaning bath. If the mold is ‘vacationing’ for a while, it will be stored in our fire-resistant mold safe.
